Meet with small brands! (II) – Laurent Ferrier Genève

Retired from one of the most prestigious manufactures, Patek Philippe, Laurent Ferrier describes himself as passionate, driven, analytical and in progress.

His vision and foresight was to somewhat set a new benchmark in “haute Horlogerie” with modern technologies yet respecting the traditional codes. In 2008, he started the project together with his son Christian, who perpetuates the family tradition in the world of watch making, and his friend François Servanin. The Baselworld 2010 watch fair rounded off the official launch of Laurent Ferrier Genève.
 
The Galet Classic Tourbillon Double Spiral
The same year, Laurent Ferrier won, with his Galet Classic Tourbillon Double Spiral, the “Men’s Watch Prize” of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève.
 
Broad-shouldered by his son Christian and the founders of La Fabrique du Temps, Enrico Barbasini and Michel Navas, Laurent Ferrier developed its exclusive movement to be distinguished by an ingenious concept: an escapement featuring two inversed balance springs which allow the movement to average out the negative influence of the earth gravity by keeping the balance center on its axis. It has been certified by the Besançon Observatory.
