The charity auction Only Watch, to benefit the children affected by muscular diseases, represents an important challenge for Tag:

7750 History & All official references.

The Valjoux 7750 (Valjoux= Vallée de Joux) is the most famous caliber, the most prevalent automatic chrono in Swiss watchmaking.
Sometimes compared to the Kalashnikov , because of its hardiness, its reliability, the number of its variations and of its low cost.

In 1969, Zenith presents the first automatic chronograph, the «El Primero», and even though the threat of quartz starts to hover, the announcement has the effect of a sensation. The competitive version of micro-rotor automatic chrono from Heuer/Breitling/Buren is not yet ready for the market…

[BaselWorld] Loiseau 1F4 "Back to the future"

«Loiseau, Back to the future»

Contrarily to my habits, I quote the press-kit title literally, as it seems to me to suit perfectly the underlying concept of this new independant brand.

[BaselWorld 2010] Corum for wait the report on 2011.

I'am currently writing the article about the Corum BaselWorld 2011, to wait, remember 2010:

I was welcomed by Corum at Basel.

The major novelty (by any means) is the “Diver”, 1000m, titanium, I find it is a very fine piece, and even the overly wide inter-lug of 24mm is compensated by the great design of the case.

[Exclusivity] New Mille Miglia Chopard:

or more than twenty years, the « Mille Miglia » race has been the flagship of numerous partnerships held between horology and motorsports.

Antiquorum: Last Auction Hero.

In our series of reports about the Geneva auction week, here is a subject about Antiquorum, a selection of the most interesting pieces in different categories: modern, vintage, rare, horological & collectibles.

[BaselWorld] Christophe Claret BlackJack.

Having worked for years as an inside-guy (especially with Gulio&Papi), Christophe Claret eventually launched his own factory.

Since 2009, two very complicated watches had been produced, with mixed success: the first had too much of a baroque style, whereas the second, in spite of a flawless design, was not exclusive enough.
This year, Claret factory presents its third watch. A state-of-the-art product.

Christie's auction of may 16. Sci-fi watches and bids.

This report was realized on May Friday 13, 3 days before the auction, in Geneva.
We had chosen the watches by interest, and were trying to keep variety, between the brands, the modern and the vintage, the sport and the dressed, of this selection:

LOT 19, a crazy Rolex 6542 GMT, 38mm, SS case, Used Bakelit bezel, tropical burned dial by the radium and the sun... The dial is amazing, the GMT hand is weird...
And we are in the absolute myth of the Rolex GMT. The watch has been retired before the sale...
